5. Internationales Exakta-Treffen
in Jena, 2004

Exacta
Bièvres 2002
Anläßlich der berühmten
Open-Air Fotobörse in Bièvres, welche immer am ersten
Juniwochenende stattfindet, haben diesmal unsere französischen
Exakta-Freunde am 31.5.2002 das 4. Internationale Exakta-Treffen
in Bièvres veranstaltet.
Es war, wie zu erwarten, eine vergnügliche
Sache!
was er so mitgebracht hatte.

A little report about our:
3rd International Exakta Meeting in
Dresden, April 2001
Now this meeting is over.
We've been surprised and pleased to see so many Exakta folks
at our meeting in Dresden! Guess, it was the event for an Exakta
collector in 2001. And it was a success, because so many joined
us and everyone did his best to make it a success.
We've had a great time in Dresden. Starting on Thursday with
visiting the wonderfull Krone collection of the Fotografischen Sammlungen of the Technische Universität Dresden.
Very interesting. At this place, I want to thank warmly Dr.
Mauersberger, Dr. Krase and Mr. Heine, who made it possible! And,
believe it or not, we also found some interesting other stuff
to inspect at the university. A specially modified Exakta, interesting
lenses and accessories, a letter from Albert Einstein hanging
on the wall...
Dr. Krase, Dr. Mauersberger and Jim Hayes
In the evening, we've had a great meeting at the hotel.
Mr. Eiselt brought with him the golden Exakta from Ihagee direktor
Max Rockstroh, now belonging to Rockstroh's daughter.
Many of us brought some interesting stories and strange&rare
Exakta stuff to show.
Also Mr. Hein Ehrhardt, nephew of Mr. Steenbergen,
came in for a visit with some friends from the Netherlands.
Next day, on Friday, we've had a great time at the
museum, the Technische
Sammlungen Dresden.
After a warm welcome through the director of the museum,
Dr. Lindner, we had the unique chance to inspect and handle all
the interesting Exakta and Ihagee cameras from the museum.
Some of the stuff, Mr. Locke, Mr. Quaas and Mr. Ziegenhorn
did spent a lot of their time to prepare a special event for us
in the archives, where they've set up some tables for us, loaded
with all that rare stuff... Thank you very much, Mr. Locke, Mr.
Quaas and Mr. Ziegenhorn!!!
Everyone got a pair of white gloves to protect the
cameras.
After that, we've climbed to the cafe in the famous
Ernemann tower to have some coffee and cake. Specially arranged
for us, like usual in this days... ;-)
And we celebrated Klaus Arnhardt's birthday!
Photo taken in the Ernemann tower by Mr. Eiselt with
his Noblex camera.
For a closer look, or for the names, just click on
the photo!
Everybody was happy!
In the evening, we've had, of course, another meeting
with a lot of fun!
On Saturday, we've visited the camera show and all
members of our meeting had the chance to get in as "Early
Bird"! I guess everyone did find a treasure. At least, Valentin
did find a nice thing, that speaks Dresden to him. all the time,
still speaking strong... A strange, but rare souvenir. Just kidding!
In the afternoon, Rainer's son and his american friend
showed us the old part of Dresden within a little sight seeing
tour. many thanks to them, too!
No guess, what we did in the evening.....
We, Rainer Dierchen and me, Klaus Rademaker, want to
thank everyone, who joined the meeting and helped making it a
big success!
And a warm thanks to everyone, who supported us with
their help!
Oh boy, if you missed that meeting, you missed a unique
chance, not just an annual meeting!
